THE COMPLETE SHORT STORIES (onstage 9.45pm) are seven
eloquent melodic tykes from London Town who make sweepingly intelligent
grown-up music with suitably adult issues and a nice line in gently epic
choruses. ‘One Blank Channel’ is their current Label Fandango 7” release.
Tonight they headline RANGE LIFE 5, the monthly gigging venture which saw those
cheeky indie scamps Club Fandango join forces with the keen-eared promoting
pros at Kilimanjaro to try to create something a little less ordinary in London
Town on the very first Wednesday of every month. Ain’t no mountain high enough?

THE LYREBIRDS (onstage 9.00pm) are exponents of dynamically
chilled leftfield guitar pop with some nice pairs of sunglasses and a few deep
shades of blue, as evinced by current single ‘Catalyst’ (Chess Club).

TINASHE (onstage 8.15pm) comes to us from Zimbabwe via
Hackney, which isn’t something we get to type every single day. His is a world
of excellent spectacles, tasty titfers and sweet, swinging soulman singing, if
imminent single ‘Saved’ (Mango / Island) is anything to do by.
