** We’ve had massive interest in this event and are really looking forward to seeing you! With this in mind the earlier you can get down the better to avoid those pesky queues – remember last entry with a free ticket will be 10pm, after that it’s £5 on the door.**
Stranger Things, the latest Netflix series to draw us under its creepy spell, has gripped us all with its intoxicating mix of nostalgia and synth-drenched stylish soundtrack.
Join us in a Night Call Halloween Special on Friday 28th October as it becomes a fog-hazed homage to Hawkins and we call out into the night to all fans of 80’s pop culture and retro sci-fi to join us under 80’s lights and shadowy atmospherics.
Themed cocktails like ‘Stranger Sours’ a Maple Whiskey Sour with a splash of Red Wine, Garnished with a caramel waffle – in homage to Eleven’s favourite food and ‘Stranger Tings’ a retro rum punch (made with Ting and an assortment of garish 80s liquors) will be on offer.
Expect immersive decor – think flickering Christmas lights, alphabet walls and secret dens. Find the hidden entrance to The Upside Down and enter the frozen world – if you dare!
London-based DJ collective Out & Down will be hosting the live room with special guest Starsmith. Having worked with the likes of Ellie Goulding and Jess Glynne, Starsmith’s own productions draw heavily on 80s synths, so he’s the perfect musical guide to a high school 80’s throwback of nu-wave, 80’s classics and cinematic strange.
Check out this excellent Stranger Things inspired mix by Down & Out, for a taste of what’s to come (featuring tracks from Kavinsky, Depeche Mode, Tom Tom Club and The Clash)
On the night you can expect to hear 80s synth hits from New Order to Yazoo, modern-day classics from Todd Terje to Hot Chip – and even a few theme songs from the Stranger Things soundtrack for good measure! Come, be strange, and celebrate Halloween in style
